Journal of the Suffolk County Historical Society

The Journal of the Suffolk County Historical Society (formerly the Register) is a free publication for Society members and is available by subscription only to libraries and institutions. The Society welcomes Journal contributions relating to all aspects of the history and natural history of Suffolk County and its peoples, the genealogy of Long Island families, and general information on genealogical research. Previously unpublished Bible records, records of small cemeteries, and other records of interest to genealogists and historians are also accepted. Submissions should be typed, double spaced, and include supporting documentation following the author-date system of the Chicago Manual of Style. All submissions are subject to editing as the Journal's editorial staff deems appropriate.

All communications, contributions of material for publication, and queries should be directed to director@schs-musuem.org.
